At the Board of Governors (BOG) fall quarterly meeting, the Iowa Bar Association’s legislative agenda was discussed. Scott Van Vooren, the Chair of the Business Law Section Council, provided an update for the Business Law Section. The update included the Business Law Section Council’s recommendation that the Uniform Protective Series Act be part of the BOG’s legislative proposal to permit better protection of asset series inside an LLC and require reporting of separate series entities to the Iowa Secretary of State.
