Ian Russell Joins Business Advocacy Council

Ian Russell Attorney At LawThe Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce appointed Lane & Waterman partner Ian Russell to the Business Advocacy Council (BAC). The BAC is the committee that drives and oversees the Chamber’s public policy agenda, influenced by four taskforces: Business Climate and Economic Competitiveness, Education and Workforce Quality, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Quality of Place.

“The Business Advocacy Council is uniquely positioned in the bi-state region to impact policy on both sides of the river, even though with today’s political climate, there’s not always a clear path forward,” Ian said of the BAC’s role. “Despite the challenges, I believe that the composition of leaders and businesses in the BAC is the right make-up to enact change. I look forward to lending my time to support policy that further grows the region.”

Joining the Business Advocacy Council adds to Ian’s slate of community leadership involvement, including serving as board member for the Downtown Davenport Partnership, Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, Iowa Board of Governors, Iowa Commission on the Unauthorized Practice of Law, and as Vice President of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
