Pepper to Join EntreFEST Panel
Lane & Waterman Director of Marketing & Client Relations Melissa Pepper will serve as a panelist at EntreFEST on May 5. The panel, entitled, “Mentors & Mentees: What it Really Means,” will focus on how to forge productive mentor relationships and the positive impact it can have on entrepreneurs and their businesses. Melissa, who founded Quad Cities nonprofit Lead(h)er in 2016, joins fellow panelists:
- Moderator, Andre’ Wright – Iowa City Area Development Group
- Ryan Bell – Locals Love Us
- Julie Zielinksi – Entrepreneurial Development Center
- Lisa Spellman – Rapid Creek Group
- Jeff Milton – Retired, mentor
Speakers at EntreFEST submit both video and written submissions and are selected from hundreds of applications. Melissa represents one of just two Quad Cities organizations featured on this year’s panel, which also includes Ryan Bell from Locals Love Us.
Melissa shared, “Lead(h)er has played a part in matching mentors to start-up founders here in the Quad Cities, and I am thrilled to be able to bring our story to a greater audience of entrepreneurs in Iowa.”
EntreFEST, Iowa’s biggest gathering of entrepreneurs and innovators, takes place in downtown Iowa City May 4 and 5. The keynote speaker is eyewear company Warby Parker’s Co-Founder and CEO, Neil Blumenthal.
