Mason Competes in Dancing with the QC Stars Charity Competition
When Lane & Waterman attorney Andrea Mason was asked to participate in LIVEFIT with Lupus’ annual Dancing with the QC Stars fundraiser, she accepted with enthusiasm. For the litigation attorney, dancing is a passion and stress-reliever. In her adult life, she’s taken up classes in ballroom dancing, fox trot, and salsa. All that practice, on top of 25+ rehearsals with dance instructor Johnny and her dance “pro” partner, Conor Naab, makes her feel prepared to take the stage tonight to compete in this popular Dancing with the QC Stars charity competition at the Waterfront Convention Center.
Andrea and Conor will perform a two-minute lyrical rumba routine, a style of dance Andrea chose herself. Andrea tells us the biggest challenge she faced was choosing the style. “I’m drawn to some of the more glamorous styles like the foxtrot or the waltz, but I also wanted to challenge myself,” Andrea explained of her choice to do the rumba. The choreographed dance she chose is one actually performed on ABC’s hit series, Dancing with the Stars, with flourishes and slight changes, including a lift, and a song change.
The best part? Andrea says, “The whole experience has been fun for me, but the best part is the great cause we support in participating. LIVEFIT With Lupus is an organization that helps many people suffering from autoimmune disease. I’m honored to be a part of it…and I hope I win!”
Andrea joins 34 other local celebrities taking the stage on November 30th and December 1st to support LIVEFIT With Lupus, a non-profit organization that provides awareness about and support for those living with autoimmune disease.
