Lane & Waterman Receives Recognition for Illinois Pro Bono Contributions

Lane & Waterman LLP is pleased to announce its acceptance onto the Public Interest Law Initiative’s Pro Bono Recognition Roster again this year.  The PILI Roster honors law firms and corporations that have made significant commitments and contributions to pro bono throughout the state of Illinois. Lane & Waterman was selected for their innovative steps to expand the firm’s pro bono program and is among 45 law firms and corporations named to PILI’s 2018 Pro Bono Roster.  By contributing to pro bono, Lane & Waterman is helping to ensure that individuals, families and communities who are in need receive legal services.  Executive Director Michael G. Bergmann writes, “Through the collective efforts of law firms and corporations such as yours, more low-income individuals across Illinois have access to justice. We thank you for the fantastic work you are doing.”

About the Roster: PILI’s Pro Bono Recognition Roster recognizes law firms and corporations whose impressive pro bono contributions are making a difference in Illinois for those who need it most. Law firms named to this year’s roster meet at least two of the following criteria: an average of 35 pro bono hours per legal professional; a 5% increase in Illinois office(s) pro bono hours from the previous year; 60% or more of the firm’s Illinois attorneys participate in pro bono work; participation in The Chicago Bar Foundation’s Law Firm Leadership Circle or one of PILI’s Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee Pro Bono Pledges; and/or adopting innovative steps to expand the firm’s pro bono program.
