Lane & Waterman attorneys Mikkie R. Schiltz and Abbey C. Furlong successfully defended Deere & Company in a lawsuit brought by an employee.  The employee contended he was discriminated against based upon his age when Deere disciplined him in 2010 and further claimed Deere subsequently retaliated against him for bringing his claims.  The Federal District Court, Central District of Illinois, granted Deere’s Motion for Summary Judgment in its entirety, and the employee appealed to the 7th Circuit.  The 7th Circuit recently affirmed the District Court’s finding and determined there was no evidence of discrimination or retaliation.
