Lane & Waterman attorney selected for American College of Trial Lawyers
Thomas D. Waterman, a partner in the law firm of Lane & Waterman LLP, has become a new Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America.
Mr. Waterman is an alumnus of Dartmouth College and the University of Iowa College of Law. He has practiced law for 25 years, all with Lane & Waterman. Also, he has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America 2010 for commercial litigation. He is President-elect of the Board of Directors of the Scott County Family YMCA.
Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Attorneys is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.
Membership in the College cannot exceed one per cent of the total lawyers of any state or province. Mr. Waterman was one of three Iowa lawyers selected for this honor in 2009.
Lane & Waterman was established in 1854. It has grown to a general practice law firm with 45 lawyers with offices in Davenport and Rock Island.
